Job Title: Civils Site Agent
Package: £65,000-£70,000 per annum
I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a leading civil engineering contractor operating across Scotland and Northern England. Due to ongoing success and a strong pipeline of infrastructure work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of complex heavy civils projects for their Northern England sites.
This is a role for someone with a strong background in earthworks, drainage, and other heavy civils work within the energy/marine sectors, and are happy to work across multiple sites predominately within the North of England. Accommodation and subsistence are provided when working away from home.
Responsibilities:
· Take full ownership of site delivery across multiple heavy civils projects, ensuring programme, cost, quality, and safety targets are met
· Lead the planning and phasing of works, ensuring resources are effectively allocated and managed
· Coordinate with the commercial team to manage budgets, procurement, and subcontractor performance
· Chair regular progress, client, and subcontractor meetings, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution
· Manage and mentor site teams, engineers, and supervisors, fostering a high-performance and safety-first culture
· Oversee compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements
· Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of site documentation including RAMS, ITPs, permits, and progress reports
· Act as the main point of contact for the client, design teams, and senior leadership
Requirements:
· Prior experience in a Site Agent or experienced Sub Agent role on heavy civils projects within energy or marine infrastructure
· Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, deep drainage and other heavy civils works
· Proficient with setting out, quality assurance, and construction methodologies
· CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid essential
· Temporary Works Supervisor and other relevant tickets desirable
· Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
· Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Willingness to travel across sites in Northern England/South Scotland
Package:
· £65,000-£70,000 depending on experience
· Car allowance + mileage
