Exciting role here at Tarmac Mechanical Fitter working at our Tunstead Site.
This is an exciting role within the Cement Packing Plant for someone with a proactive approach to
maintenance, plant optimisation and self-development
Reporting to the Packing Plant Maintenance Engineer and being part of the maintenance team, the job
holder will be accountable for executing all preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns and
plant improvements of the Packing Plant.
This job is an integral part of the Packing Plant structure, working as one team with the operations
personnel to ensure all KPI’s are achieved on a daily, weekly & annual basis.
Job holder will be required to gain sound skills and knowledge of all plant equipment to enhance plant
performance

ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Ensuring all CRH safety standards are always understood and complied with.
2. Contractor management process is followed for all contractual works carried out on site.
3. Maintain & develop Risk Assessment/SSOW systems to ensure all are kept up to date.
4. Carrying out period inspections throughout the plant & reporting findings into Maintenance reliability technician
5. Facilitating the execution of all maintenance work orders.
6. Being available for out of hours support in line with call out procedure
7. Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner
8. Being able to fault find and carry out corrective maintenance in a cost-effective manner
9. Using databases to locate spares and retrieve from P&S department as required
10. Attend and contribute to daily and weekly site meetings
11. Continuous improvements of the plant, maintenance methods to deliver cost reductions
12. Building relationships and working with all OEM suppliers & engineers.
13. Assisting with annual shutdown to include planning, execution & contractor management.
14. Attend root cause analysis (RCA) for operational issues when triggered.
15. Contribute to delivering the Packing Plant annual maintenance budget.
