We have a temporary AFR Operative role available within Cauldon works. The successful applicant will be someone familiar with the Construction or Heavy Industry environment and is capable of handling hazardous material, working in all weather and operating machinery.
Role: AFR Operative
Location: Holcim, Cauldon Cement Plant, Yelsway Ln, Cauldon, Stoke-on-Trent ST10 3EQ
Rate: £17ph
Contract length: until the end of December 2025
Shift Patterns: 37 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern. (X5 on, X3 off, X2 on, X2 off, X3 on, X4 off)
Hours are 06:00-16:00 and 07:00-17:00
Start: ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)
Responsibilities:
*
Managing the delivery of AFR materials which can include waste fuel
*
Supervising the unloading of vehicles on site
*
Feeding and ensuring consistent AFR to the cement kiln
*
Conducting sampling as requested
*
Operating machinery to aid the responsibilities as required (conveyors, hoppers, specialised equipment)
*
Adhering to UK Health and Safety and Holcim site procedures at all times
*
General housekeeping within the area
*
Any other duties provided by the Team Leader
ALL TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
Essential requirements:
*
Driving licence and access to own vehicle
*
Previous experience (2+ years) within the Construction or Heavy Industry environment
*
Ability to adhere to the shift pattern detailed above
*
Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
*
CSCS card would be an advantage
*
Good verbal and written communication skill
