WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
1. As Lead Developer, you’ll take the lead on the solutions design, implementation, development, configuration of our internal cloud-based solutions with a strong focus on middleware and partner integrations.
2. You’ll be part of the IT Engineering team and work closely with all other members of the EU IT team.
3. You’ll work closely with the solutions architect to choose the right cloud technologies for internally developed solutions.
4. You will lead development and advocate best practices in your code and code reviews of your peers.
5. You will mentor your team members with constructive feedback and training suggestions.
6. You’ll interact with other departments to ensure your deliverable is fit for purpose.
7. You’ll analyse business requests and partners capabilities to design appropriate technical specifications.
8. You’ll be responsible for building maintainability, performance, scalability, and resiliency levels according to purpose and business needs within cost constraints.
9. You’ll work closely with other member of the IT team to ensure solutions are secure by design.
10. You’ll ensure non-disruptive delivery by using good change management practice and CI/CD technology.
11. You’ll document your deliverable, train IT team for post-deployment management and be escalation point on the solutions you put in place.
12. You’ll adopt a pragmatic and analytical approach to problem solving.
13. You’ll help build a single pane of glass to manage, monitor and troubleshoot partner integrations.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
14. You have a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering related degree or equivalent, with 7-10 years’ experience including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in multisite hybrid/cloud first environment.
15. You are fluent in English. Skills in any other language used in one of the group’s countries is a plus (French, Spanish, German) to communicate internally and with solution providers.
16. You have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure products and how to implement them: Enterprise Apps, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Containers, Event Grid, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Data Factory…
17. You have mastered object-oriented development and applied its principles in multiple solutions design: Domain Driven, Tiered Applications, Micro-services…
18. You have good knowledge of .NET, C# the standard libraries as well as JavaScript (in a Vue.js context). Knowledge of other development and scripting languages is appreciated (Python, Java, Typescript, PowerShell, bash…)
19. You have knowledge of development and deployment tools (IaC, git, docker…).
20. You are comfortable working with API, webhooks, data transfer, workflow technologies.
21. You understand software architecture and the long-term implication of architectural choices.
22. You are familiar with Agile project management and continuous delivery.
23. Five Guys is a growing business, so travel will be required occasionally to the other locations of the group (UK, Spain, Germany, France)
