Substance Misuse Practitioner Derbyshire / High Peak (Community-Based Role) £20-£21 per hour (Umbrella) Monday to Friday Temporary (with potential to go permanent)About the Role: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Substance Misuse Practitioner to join a dynamic outreach service covering the Derbyshire and High Peak area. This is a fully community-based role with no fixed office location, working across GP surgeries, community centres, and alongside outreach teams.Due to the nature of the role and the rural location, candidates must be a driver and comfortable travelling regularly throughout the area.Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a caseload of 40+ service users
* Delivering structured key working sessions and recovery plans
* Supporting individuals aged 18+ with substance misuse issues
* Conducting assessments, risk management, and care planning
* Working collaboratively with outreach teams and partner agencies
* Providing harm reduction advice and promoting recovery pathways
Requirements:
* Proven experience in substance misuse / recovery services
* Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively
* Strong communication and engagement skills
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
* Experience working within community or outreach settings is desirable
