Job Summary
Join us at our thriving East Cowes facility, and take the lead as our Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager. Reporting to the Site Supply Chain Director, you'll drive a high-performing team of Logistics Managers and Specialists, orchestrating the seamless flow of materials and products into, through, and out of our site.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations—masterminding everything from inbound receiving and transport planning to warehouse management, inventory control, internal logistics, and outbound distribution. Your leadership will ensure every movement is efficient, accurate, and aligned with our high standards.
But that’s not all—your expertise in customs and compliance will be key to ensuring our logistics operations meet all site, national, and international regulations. You’ll be the guardian of compliance, keeping our operations smooth, safe, and audit-ready.
This is more than a management role—it’s a mission-critical position that fuels our manufacturing excellence and supports the quality and safety of everything we produce
Job Responsibilities
Broad range of responsibilities, including overall responsibility for all aspects of:
1. Inventory Control (Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products, maintaining accurate inventory records and optimal stock levels, implementing inventory control systems etc.);
2. Transportation Coordination (managing the internal and external movement of goods, selecting carriers and negotiating rates and contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery etc.);
3. Warehouse Operations;
4. Customs Compliance Management (including regulatory adherence, quality assurance, and risk management);
5. Team Leadership and Development (including training and career development, and promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement etc.);
6. Performance Monitoring (monitoring logistics performance metrics, and identifying areas for improvement, managing relationships with vendors, transportation providers, and customers etc.).
Job Qualifications
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:
7. Significant experience and expertise in warehouse and logistics processes, to include transport management, internal flows and warehousing, inventory management, customs and transport regulations.
8. First class communication skills, with the ability to build, and effectively manage, relationships;
9. Strong people leadership experience, with the proven ability to develop high performing teams;
10. MRP knowledge;
11. Experience of continuous process improvement.
