Opportunity:Business Development Manager Short Term Hire (Commercial Vehicles) Contract: Permanent Location:Lisburn Salary: Competitive Commission Company Vehicle About Us Briggs Equipment Group is a market leader in asset management and maintenance solutions, operating across the UK and Ireland. With a group turnover of €100 million, our businesses include Briggs Equipment Ireland, Aerial Platform Hire, Laois Hire Services, Future Events Hire and Galway Plant and Tool Hire. We have an exciting new opportunity for a self-motivated, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our Short-Term Hire (STH) team in Lisburn. This is a key role focused on growing our customer base and maximising the utilisation of our fleet including commercial vehicles across Northern Ireland. Key responsibilities: Identify and develop new customers for the STH department, with a focus on our commercial vehicle and equipment hire solutions. Work closely with the STH Manager and team to ensure that customer needs are met and service standards are upheld. Achieve volume targets across all short-term hire categories, including commercial vehicles. Manage an effective route plan to ensure consistent coverage and customer engagement. Research industry events, publications, and trends to identify new business opportunities. Develop and negotiate tailored business strategies and contracts with new clients. Align market intelligence with customer needs to enhance the relevance of our offerings. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders across sectors that utilise commercial vehicles. What will help you to excel in this role: Previous experience with sales, business development or account management. Proven record in a problem-solving role and customer-focused approach. Knowledge of or experience within the commercial vehicle or hire industry is desirable. Customer service focussed with excellent communication and organisational skills. Full, clean driving licence with a willingness to travel High level of computer literacy.
