What You'll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting adults with physical and developmental disabilities in their daily lives. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with dietary, hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing needs.
* Supporting clients in their daily routines as outlined in their Individual Program Plans.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
* Encouraging socialization and participation in leisure activities.
* Preparing meals and assisting with clean-up.
* Reporting incidents and communicating effectively with administrators.
* Performing other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications
* Education: High School Diploma or GED; CPR/FA, CPI, DSP 1 & 2 preferred (DSP certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment).
* Experience: 3+ years supporting children with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses preferred.
* Licensing: Group Home License preferred; must be obtained within the first three months of hire.
* Driving: Valid in-state driver’s license, over 21, current registration and insurance, with no more than 2 points on driving record in the last 3 years.
* CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
* First Aid/CPR certification required.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
