Business Development & Finance Manager – Shrewsbury School
Salary: £30,000 (with potential for progression)
Mindlynk is excited to be recruiting on behalf of one of our partner schools in Shrewsbury. This is a vibrant, community-focused school led by a highly supportive and forward-thinking Headteacher, who is passionate about innovation and growth.
We are seeking a Business Development & Finance Manager to join the school’s leadership team and play a central role in shaping its future. If you’re a dynamic professional who can combine financial expertise with a flair for strategic development, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Finance & Budgeting – Lead on financial planning, monitoring, and reporting; ensure the school operates within budget while maximising resources.
Business Development – Identify and implement opportunities to generate additional income through partnerships, lettings, and innovative projects.
Strategic Planning – Work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to deliver long-term goals for sustainability and growth.
Compliance & Governance – Ensure all financial procedures meet statutory requirements and reflect best practice.
Community Engagement – Build strong relationships with local businesses, organisations, and stakeholders to raise the school’s profile.
Operational Support – Oversee contracts, procurement, and efficient use of school facilities.
About You
Strong background in finance, business management, or school operations (experience in education/public sector desirable).
Proven ability to manage budgets, prepare reports, and support strategic planning.
Innovative and proactive mindset with an eye for income generation.
Excellent communication and organisational skills; able to work collaboratively across teams.
