Hours worked from 7am to 8pm will be paid at the basic rate plus one-third of the hourly rate. Sleep-in payments are paid at the National Living Wage rate. You will receive 32 paid annual leave days per year, increasing to 37 days after five years of service.
As a Care Assistant within Adult Services Resources, you will be part of a key team supporting individuals with long-term health conditions to take control of their lives. The Person

You should have or be willing to achieve the Scottish Social Services Council registration at SCQF level 6 (equivalent to SVQ2) within the first registration period.
Your duties include all aspects of personal care and moving and handling tasks, including pushing and pulling wheelchairs. Flexibility in working hours is required depending on service user needs.
The successful candidate will work on an as-required basis, including days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and night shifts, including public holidays, Christmas, and New Year. You will promote social inclusion by working to maximize individuals' independence, health, and access to community opportunities.
Good communication, organizational, workload management, teamwork, literacy, and IT skills are essential. The role involves working both as part of a team and independently.
Before appointment, you will need to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and register with the SSSC within three months of starting. You should begin your registration process promptly to ensure registration within six months.
