Job Overview
We are recruiting full‑time social workers to join the Assessment and Recruitment Team within the Fostering Service. The team undertakes fostering assessments, guides prospective carers through the application and approval process, and supports the growth of Coventry’s fostering provision.
Responsibilities
* Conduct fostering assessments and provide advice to prospective carers.
* Support the application and approval process for new foster carers.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of fostering policies and practice.
* Maintain accurate records and manage caseloads within agreed targets.
* Collaborate with children’s services colleagues and partner agencies to ensure high standards of care.
* Engage in reflective practice and continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working in fostering and familiarity with the Fostering Regulations and Minimum Standards.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in IT systems and the ability to manage caseloads flexibly.
* A passion for excellence in service delivery and a commitment to high‑quality practice.
* Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not offered.
* Compliance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and successful DBS check.
