Full-Time SEND Teacher

We’re working with a warm and well-resourced specialist school who are looking for a qualified SEND Teacher to join their team this September. The role is full-time and long-term, supporting pupils aged 7–14 with a range of additional needs, including Autism and SEMH.
This is a school that gets SEND. You’ll be part of a thoughtful, experienced team that truly puts pupil wellbeing and progress at the heart of everything they do.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading a small class of pupils with tailored, differentiated learning
* Working closely with TAs, therapists, and SLT to create structured support plans
* Using creative strategies to engage pupils in core and foundation subjects
* Managing behaviour using trauma-informed approaches
* Building relationships that make a real, lasting impact
What we’re looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
* Proven experience working with children with SEND (mainstream or specialist)
* Strong understanding of Autism, SEMH, and individualised education plans
* Someone who’s calm, consistent, and genuinely passionate about inclusion
Bonus points if:
* You’re Thrive trained (or ready to train—we offer this free!)
* You’ve worked in an SEN setting before or delivered bespoke curriculum adaptations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
