Mental Health Assistant – Specialist SEMH Provision in Slough

Pay: £14.25 – £17.25 per hour
Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
A welcoming specialist setting in Slough are looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their team.
You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including SEMH, autism, speech & language needs, and social, emotional and behavioural needs within a structured and supportive environment.
The role is hands-on, varied, and incredibly rewarding.
The role will include:
* Supporting learning activities within the classroom
* Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour
* Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive relationships
* Helping create a safe, consistent, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals
* Ideally experience supporting SEMH or challenging behaviour
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A proactive and adaptable attitude
Training and ongoing support will be provided.
