Overview
Our client is global leader in laboratory management, operations, and support services. We are seeking a Laboratory Programme Manager to oversee and coordinate laboratory operations across a major client program based in Southampton.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of laboratory services, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with regulatory standards (GxP)
* Leading and developing a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff
* Managing laboratory equipment maintenance, budgets, and vendor relationships
* Acting as the main point of contact for both internal & external stakeholders, providing governance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Driving efficiency and cost-saving opportunities across laboratory operations
Qualifications
* Extensive experience managing laboratory operations within a regulated environment (e.g. pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, environmental testing, or similar).
* Knowledge of quality systems (such as ISO standards, GLP, GMP)
* Demonstrated success managing complex multi-site or program-level laboratory functions
* Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills are essential
This is a key leadership role, combining technical oversight, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure laboratory services support the broader program goals.
