Salary: Up to £32,350 per year plus standby and extensive overtime opportunities (OTE up to £52,000 per year after training)

The role of Craftsperson (Overhead Lines) offers diverse challenges and excellent opportunities for personal development. You will carry out maintenance, repair, and inspection of the overhead network within the license area, ensuring compliance with SP Energy Networks policies and quality standards, and that all work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This role includes an intensive 6-month training course combined with the C&G Electrical Engineering course.
After training completion, you will be responsible for:
Operation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of assets related to LV/11KV/33kV networks, working as part of a team to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
* Responding to overhead line work for construction, maintenance, and fault repair.
* Operational switching, fault finding, and testing up to 33kV.
* Planning jobs, obtaining materials, vehicles, and equipment.
* Handling safety documentation, risk assessments, and liaising with landowners.
* Performing live line work, connecting generators, and HGV driving as needed.
* Standby duties.
Ideal candidate attributes:
* Enthusiastic with knowledge of electrical distribution networks.
* Minimum 2 years industry experience.
* Technical qualification is advantageous.
* Valid driving license.
