As a Bank Teaching Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a day-to-day, part-time, or full-time basis, with the potential for long-term or permanent roles. This role not only gives you flexibility to choose when you would like to work but also provides a chance to develop your skills and experience in diverse educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
As a bank teaching assistant, your responsibilities will include supporting teaching and learning activities in classrooms, as well as outdoor activities, under the guidance of a qualified teacher. You may be involved in one-to-one sessions, small group support, or supervising lunch and break times. You will play an essential role in helping children access learning and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate:
a passion for working with children with special educational needs
the ability to work with resilience, patience, empathy, and creativity
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, though not essential. Knowledge of SEN will be an advantage, and the ability to respond to the emotional, social, and mental health needs of our students is key.
