Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality care services within our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of home care, assisted living, and nursing home environments. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to enhancing the lives of our customers, particularly those with dementia and other care needs.
Note: this is not a registered managers position but if you are interested in gaining the qualifications and experience to progress into a registered manager position we will support you with this.
Duties
* Supervise and manage a team of care staff, ensuring adherence to care plans and medication administration protocols.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and develop tailored care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Provide training and support to staff on best practices in dementia care and general home care services.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the facility.
* Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional development among staff members.
* Liaise with families, residents, and external agencies to promote effective communication regarding resident care.
* Monitor the quality of care provided, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a home care or assisted living setting.
* Minimum 5 years experience of front line care delivery
* Strong knowledge of medication administration processes and care plan development.
* Experience and confidence training in moving and handling.
* Background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications is preferred.
* Experience in dementia care is highly desirable.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with residents, families, and staff members effectively.
