In this role, you'll deliver a high-quality secretarial service to the senior managers, clinical directors and matrons within Renal and Neurosciences. You’ll also play a vital part in supporting other managers and functions across the division of medicine as needed.

Main duties of the job
Key elements of the role include diary management, preparing agendas and recording minutes for meetings, raising orders and managing recharging to other centers.
You will ensure documents are filed and stored safely, maintaining confidentiality and good governance. You will also communicate effectively with colleagues within and outside the team.

The post is based at the Royal Preston Hospital which is within 2 miles of junction 32 of the M6 motorway. Whilst there is flexibility with remote working, on site working to support the teams will be required.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Provide direct secretarial and administration support to the Speciality Business Managers, Clinical Directors and Matrons for Renal and Neurosciences services and the wider team.
1. Theroleincludesproactivelymanagementof diaryand ensuring effective scheduling of appointments.
2. Organise meetings in a timely manner, including venues,ensuringthatallrelevantdocumentationand information is forwarded in advance.
3. Actasaminutesecretaryformeetings,someofwhich may cover complex discussions and actions.
4. Actasfirstpointofcontact forallinternal andexternal to deal with all forms of enquiries
5. Maintainanuptodate,effectiveelectronicandpaper filing system.
6. Ensure any confidential and sensitive data is appropriatelymanaged,archivedandstoredsecurely.
7. Have an up to date knowledge and experience of Microsoftpackagesi.e.Word,ExcelandPowerpoint and use of email and internet.

9. Good General Education to GCSE standard or equivalent
10. ECDL or equivalent experience

12. Advanced level and extensive experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email and internet usage
