About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate leader to join us at our Skegness Resort as part of our Restaurant Department as a Venue Manager for Papa Johns. Our resort offers a seated Restaurant for Papa Johns, hosting a delicious pizza, pasta, and salad buffet as well as our classic menu. We also have a Pizza Van, offering hot takeaway pizzas for our guests on the go, a great addition to our adult breaks for a late-night meal.
As a Venue Manager, you’ll be vital in helping our guests create smiles – getting involved to give them a great dining experience! You should enjoy developing people and be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences by nurturing, training, and coaching the team in a fun-filled environment.
You will drive standards and have the ability to lead the team to excellence, incorporating all brand standards and Butlin’s way of working. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you’ll enjoy the buzz of a busy environment and will drive your team to maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness.
You’ll have the ability to deliver both Papa Johns and Butlin’s brand standards, whilst being guest-obsessed and operating efficiently in everything you do. The role also involves analyzing KPIs, facilitating and monitoring all team training, and adhering to food safety and health & safety policies.
You should have a passion for leading by example and inspiring others to deliver experiences that truly delight our guests. You should advocate for your team’s fulfillment at work, ensuring regular 's and PDP discussions to support their development and career with Butlin’s.
As with all roles at Butlin’s, no day will be the same. You will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting involved, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority.
Typical working hours are 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7, with a variety of shifts. The role includes support across the wider department and will involve weekend, bank holiday, and Christmas working.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prior experience in a volume catering and/or food environment, where speed and quality are important.
2. Experience in a guest and customer-facing role, handling queries and complaints.
3. Passion for leading and developing a team, supporting through regular 's and coaching.
4. Experience in managing rotas based on guest volumes and working with multi-skilled teams.
5. Proficiency in managing performance, coaching, training, setting standards, problem solving, and managing multiple priorities.
This role does not include on-site accommodation.
