Maintenance Assistant (CC13384R) - Bath, BA2 7AY
The Department of Campus Infrastructure is responsible for the maintenance and development of the University's buildings, and are currently seeking to appoint Maintenance Assistants to support the team.
This role is eligible for the Campus Infrastructure refer a friend bonus *
We currently have two opportunities:
Maintenance Assistant (Compliance)
To undertake the routine testing of emergency lighting, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, RCDs, checking fire doors and compliance tasks. You will will also undertake planned and unplanned maintenance such as general repairs.
Maintenance Assistant (Campus Services)
To undertake planned and unplanned maintenance such as general repairs including minor carpentry and plumbing in accommodation buildings, with the City campus team.

About you
We would like to hear from you if you:
* have experience in some of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, painting
* are familiar with and happy to work in the built environment, able to identify and remedy a variety of maintenance tasks and keep all affected informed of the situation
* have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to undertake training to improve knowledge
* are committed to the role and able to work individually and as part of a team
* have good problem solving, customer service and communication skills
A recognised City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in an engineering/building discipline (or a related subject) would be an advantage, but is not essential.

A driving licence is desirable to travel between various off-campus university properties.
