Management Accountant
9-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Up to £46,000

We are working with a well-established professional services business based in the West of Glasgow who are looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant to join a high-performing finance team and take ownership of management reporting for a defined business unit, supporting both financial control and commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary
2. Full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations
3. Acting as a subject matter expert for the financial results of the assigned business unit
4. Preparation, review and challenge of budgets, forecasts and business plans
5. Maintaining and strengthening financial control processes
6. Proactively identifying, suggesting and implementing process improvements
7. Regular liaison with business unit stakeholders, supporting their understanding of financial performance
8. Liaising with internal and external auditors
9. Providing detailed P&L and balance sheet analysis
10. Supporting ad hoc finance tasks as required
11. Involvement in finance projects and wider business initiatives
Candidate Profile:
12. Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent)
13. Proven experience in fully preparing management accounts
14. Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
15. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, improvement-focused mindset
16. Comfortable working in a fast-paced professional services environment
