Due to high demand, we are currently recruiting Year 1 Teachers to work in primary schools across the Wirral.
This is a fantastic opportunity for confident KS1 teachers who are ready to step into the classroom and make an immediate impact.
The Role:
1. Teaching within a Year 1 class
2. Delivering engaging, structured lessons
3. Supporting pupils through the Year 1 curriculum
4. Maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour
Essential Requirements:
5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
6. Recent experience teaching in KS1
7. Strong phonics knowledge and delivery experience
8. Confident classroom and behaviour management
9. Reliable, adaptable and professional approach
Schools are particularly keen to secure teachers with solid phonics experience who can confidently support early reading development.

Job Specification
Your role as a Key Stage 1 (KS1) Primary Teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.
As a Primary School Key Stage 1 Teacher you’ll be expected to:
10. Hold QTS status
11. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
12. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
13. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
14. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
15. Maintain discipline
16. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
17. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
18. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
19. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
