We are looking for an Autism Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary school in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain paid hands-on experience and develop skills whilst working in a team of friendly and dedicated staff. 1-1 Teaching Assistant – Role Description
1. Autism Teaching Assistant
2. Support a child with Autism on a 1:1 basis, both academically and pastorally
3. Work within a main classroom setting but creating specialised sessions
4. Great opportunity to work alongside a qualified teacher and experience school life
5. Long-term role, shortlisting now
6. Full-time position, Mon – Fri
7. £425 – £475 per week
8. Deliver Maths and English intervention support
9. Help with emotional support
10. Act as a good role model for all pupils

1-1 Teaching Assistant – Experience and Qualifications
19. 2:1 or above in any subject (Psychology based degree would be advantageous)
20. Strong academic background e.g. A-levels and GCSEs
21. Prior experience as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, Tutor, or other relevant fields such as Youth Work or Support Worker roles would be advantageous.
22. Desire to support pupils with SEN.
23. Aspirations to become an SEN Teacher, Educational Psychologist, or SENDCO
24. Proactive and engaging personality
