Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join the bk plus team based in Helston.
Responsibilities
* Monthly bookkeeping including bank and cash reconciliations, entering wages journals, calculating and posting prepayments and accruals.
* Preparation of VAT returns for various clients including sole trade, partnerships and limited companies.
* Running weekly/fortnightly/monthly payrolls including the submission of pension information to various pension providers
* Preparation and submission of CIS returns
* Preparation of management accounts for various clients on a quarterly basis
* Preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Supporting other members of the team with day-to-day accounting tasks
* Communicating with clients via telephone and email when required
* Assisting and training clients on use of a variety of accounting software.
The ideal candidate
* Excellent computing skills
* Punctual with an organised and structured approach to work
* Ability to adapt to new software and technology
* Strong communication and people skills
* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy environment
* Experience with Microsoft Office necessary
* Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Hammock and FreeAgent desirable.
