Trading Analyst: We are looking for a Trading Analyst who will play a key role in driving the commercial performance of our digital distribution channels, using data and insight to deliver customer and policy growth, income and retention. The Trading Analyst will turn trading MI into clear, actionable insight that supports sustainable and profitable growth across the business.
The Trading Analyst will work across all Direct channels with a channel‑agnostic mindset, identifying and recommending performance improvements and managing these through to delivery. The role also involves enhancing the Trading MI suite, reporting on external market impacts, and building strong cross-functional relationships to support data and modelling capabilities.
Main Responsibilities as Trading Analyst:
1. Support the development of all channels to achieve target volumes, GWP & Income.
2. To manage and develop the overall trading MI suite, ensuring the accuracy and usability of information that is actionable and helps achieve the teams strategic objectives
3. Identifies benchmarks to guide and evaluate our performance 3rd party ( industry peers and other industry best practice) as well as within the business
4. Deliver measurable improvements to marketing results through the application of advanced analytics – through increased top line results and improved marketing efficiency
5. Responsible for the day-to-day analysis and trading outlook across NB & Renewal.
Skills and experience you need as Trading Analyst:
6. Highly analytical, articulate and numerate with experience of forecasting and planning, with expert knowledge of general insurance
7. Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communications skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external colleagues at all levels
8. Advanced working knowledge of data analysis
9. Good technical awareness with ability to challenge solutions and provide direction
10. Experience and understanding of translating and presenting insights into commercial benefits – the “So-What, Now-What”.
