Senior Safety Case Engineer role at Mott MacDonald. The Energy unit (Nuclear; Defence and Civil) is looking to recruit a Senior Safety Case Engineer to join the team. The role covers areas including nuclear power generation, the naval nuclear programme, and decommissioning. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team with potential for career progression and impact on the Energy unit.
Responsibilities
* Safety Case Production (e.g. SJP, PCSR, PCmSR, PRS)
* Modification/ Design Change Submissions (LC/AC 22)
* Decommissioning
* Functional Safety Assessment
* Regulatory Interface
* ALARP Assessment
* Safety & Risk Assessment
* Deterministic Safety Assessment
* Probabilistic Safety Assessment
* Nuclear Safety Legislation, Regulation and Policy
* Engineering Substantiation
* HAZOP and other identification studies
* HAZAN
* Criticality
* Nuclear Fire
Candidate Specification
* Degree qualified in a Science, Technology or Engineering discipline
* Experience in the nuclear or defence industries (or from other high-hazard / regulated industries)
* Chartered Engineer or working towards
* Ability to demonstrate successful delivery of nuclear safety deliverables and strategy on complex projects
* Willing to develop and mentor more junior staff
* Candidates must be eligible to apply for and obtain Security Clearance
