The Programme In collaboration with our partner schools, we are offering an exciting opportunity to train as a Teaching Assistant - no prior experience necessary. You’ll receive: High-quality, tailored training delivered by education experts and school leaders A paid placement in a local school, arranged following successful interview and compliance checks Ongoing, personalised support from your dedicated consultant Guidance to help you choose whether you’d thrive in a primary or special educational needs (SEND) setting Before your school placement begins, you’ll complete our bespoke training programme designed to equip you with the core skills and confidence needed to succeed in the classroom. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils and teachers day-to-day. From helping manage classroom behaviour to running targeted interventions and supporting pupils with special educational needs, no two days will be the same. You’ll work closely with class teachers to: Encourage and support pupils’ learning and development Monitor progress and behaviour Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment Make a genuine, lasting impact in children’s lives What We’re Looking For We’re seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and compassionate individuals who are keen to start a meaningful career in education. Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for helping children thrive are essential. Requirements To be considered for the National Teaching Assistant Programme, you will: · Be compassionate, understanding and caring. · Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people. · Be passionate and driven about improving the outcomes for children and young people. · Be flexible, proactive and a team player. · Understand the crucial importance of keeping children and young people safe. · Be able to demonstrate at interview the reasons why you want to start a career in education and explain your understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant and the important part they play in the school community. · Be committed to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD. · Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.
