Duties
* Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
* Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Assist in the development of new menu items and contribute creative ideas for meal preparation.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while working in the kitchen.
Experience
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; restaurant experience is highly desirable.
* Culinary experience or relevant qualifications in food preparation or cooking are advantageous.
* Strong understanding of food safety practices and procedures.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
