Overview
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Assistant / Apprentice to join our team. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the nursery room and ensuring the well-being and development of the children in your care. This is a rewarding role that requires a strong and nurturing nature, and a passion for early childhood education.
Responsibilities
* Create and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans
* Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
* Monitor and assess each child\'s progress and development
* Communicate with parents regarding their child\'s daily activities, progress, and any concerns
* Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive team environment
Experience & Qualifications
* Previous experience of working in a nursery or early childhood education setting
* Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven leadership abilities
* A patient, caring, and nurturing demeanor
* The ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with ease
Education
* GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Job Details
* Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship
* Pay: Nursery Assistant Pay £12.21 per hour; Apprentice Pay £7.60 per hour; Range £7.60–£12.21 per hour
* Expected hours: 07:00 – 18:30 (per week varies by role)
* Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week (apprenticeship)
* Location: Norfolk NR31 0NX (reliable commute or plan to relocate before starting work)
