Purpose of the Role
To deliver advanced statutory social work within a defined locality, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and families. Manage complex cases, provide guidance to team members, and contribute to improving child-centred services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
Conduct statutory assessments, care planning, and interventions in line with regulatory standards.
Engage directly with children and families, ensuring their perspectives inform decisions.
Prepare high-quality reports for child protection conferences and court proceedings.
Mentor and guide junior colleagues and social work students.
Lead safeguarding investigations while maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.

Uphold professional standards and engage in continuing professional development (CPD).
