Key Accountabilities
· To generate new business in line with department target and goals
· Manage and update new business pipelines
· Generate new leads by various methods
· Visit customer site to support with upselling in current contracts
· To support with the creation of new customer proposals
· Contribute to the design and implementation of new MSC models and commercial service offerings
· Conduct market analysis and gather intelligence to support pipeline development and strategic planning
· Input into messaging strategy for social media and content to enhance brand awareness
· Oversee and monitor CRM system, additionally identifying improvement areas
· Provide clear reporting for meetings and strategic reviews
· Monitor trends in bid outcomes and supplier activity to inform improvements
· Engage internal stakeholders as needed for bid input, new business proposals and supplier discussions in advance
· Lead all tender processes from qualification to submission and review
· Assess tender opportunities, propose bid strategies, and make go/no-go recommendations
· Oversee bid quality, consistency, ensuring alignment with commercial goals
· Collaborate and support the department with successful bid submissions
· Maintain and evolve the internal bid library and frameworks register
· Leading key engagement meetings throughout the year
· Prepare agendas with cross-functional input
· Identify collaborative opportunities and shared goals for future tenders or new service models
· Coordinate follow-ups and agreed actions from supplier meetings
· Review and propose new supplier relationships for collaboration
Skills and Experience
· Strong knowledge and experience of the NHS preferably in a service, equipment, or consumable supply environment
· The ability to negotiate with suppliers
· Experience in public sector tendering
· Strong commercial awareness and supplier management
· Experience of using and improving CRM systems
· High level written and oral communication skills
