Overview
A young person in Swansea is seeking a driver/pa to provide support while out in the community. Hours: Saturday and Sunday 10am–2pm, with variability during school holidays. Rate of pay: £12.75 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Supervise at all times and ensure safety.
* Listen to the young person while maintaining firm boundaries as needed.
* Provide transport support to take the young person out in the community.
Essential
* Supervise the young person at all times and keep him safe.
* Listen while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
* Be reliable, arrive on time, and communicate with the young person’s Mum if a session cannot take place.
Desirable
* Female preferred, if possible.
* Previous experience.
* Fun, good sense of humour, and a patient, easy-going manner.
* Ability to handle expressions the young person may make without taking offence.
Requirements for the Personal Assistant (PA)
* Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
* Be confident, mature, patient, dependable, and punctual.
* Be friendly, adaptable, and flexible with a good sense of humour.
* Be supportive without taking over.
* Have business insurance on your car to transport clients.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be conducted as a six-month probationary period. Salary is paid monthly. Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis. A DBS check must be processed prior to commencement of employment. Costs of the DBS will be met by Swansea Council where the applicant is eligible.
