Finance Administrator
The Finance Administrator will hold a key position in supporting the financial operations of Forest of Dean Stone Firms and the broader Lovell Stone Group. The appointed individual will be tasked with supporting daily transactional activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and assisting the senior finance team in preparing comprehensive financial reports and analyses. Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger:
* Raising Purchase Orders
* Verifying Goods Received
* Posting Purchase Invoices
* Paying Creditors
* Supplier Statement Reconciliations
Sales Invoicing
* Issue Proforma invoices
* Process Sales Invoices and issue to Customers
Credit Control:
* Issue Customer Statements
* Debt Collection
* Provide internal reports for the business
Payroll:
* Collate weekly hours and submit to external payroll provider to process weekly payroll.
* Paying weekly and monthly wages and salaries
* Submit to Pension Provider pension payments (Reports supplied by external payroll company)
General Finance & Business administration:
* Petty Cash
* Posting of daily bank transactions including monthly bank reconciliations
* Credit Card reconciliations and processing of company expenses
* Haulage reconciliations and aggregate levy submissions
* Assisting the Management Accountant with monthly management accounts preparation as required
* Supporting the management team with business administration for the wider group
Person Specification - Essential Skills and Qualities:
* Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software SAGE is preferred although training will be provided.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced business environment.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics; further education in business, finance, or accounting is advantageous but experience is more important.
Package
* Permanent, full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm
* Based at Bishop Sutton office

* Salary: £27 to 30k per annum (DOE)
