Job Title: Network Support Manager – Gas
Location: Based in Guernsey (Our client is looking for someone based in the UK to relocate)
Our client, a leading provider of safe, reliable, and sustainable gas and energy solutions, is seeking a Network Support Manager to oversee the safe control of operations across Gas networks and operational sites in Guernsey. This role ensures the highest standards of safety and compliance, focusing on network integrity, capital projects, and maintaining accurate network records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Gas Safe Operations Oversight: Coordinate activities across networks, manage operational impacts, and resolve conflicts affecting safety and supply.
2. Gas Distribution Compliance & Competency: Maintain registers of authorized personnel, validate competencies, and work with engineers to ensure qualifications and audits are up to date.
3. Gas Distribution Operational Control: Record and monitor all operations under Safe Control procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and procedural integrity.
4. Gas Distribution Asset Integrity Support: Assist in reducing asset risk, support network integrity decisions, and evaluate strategies for risk reduction and growth.
5. Operational Oversight & Data Management: Oversee network modelling, odour monitoring, operational process mapping, and maintain digital and GIS records, network failure data, and Synergi models.
6. Team & Service Delivery: Manage 2 Technical Assistants across Jersey and Guernsey, ensuring objectives set by senior leadership are met.
We are seeking an experienced Gas Distribution Support Manager eager to relocate from the UK to Guernsey or Ireland.
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree in engineering or 5+ years’ experience in the gas industry
* Experience within Safe Control of Operations (SCO)
* 5+ years in operations or asset management
* Familiarity with GIS and UK Gas Safety Management Regulations
* Gas Safe Registered Engineer
* Strong results orientation, high integrity, adaptability, and resilience under pressure
* Self-starter with a hands-on approach
* Full driving license and passing a police check
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (UK)
* Experience with Gas network modelling tools
* Background in risk management and mains/service replacement
* Knowledge of COMAH and meter asset management
