About the Role
As Traffic & Customs Supervisor, you'll oversee the daily operations of international shipments, customs compliance, and freight coordination. Your focus will be on smooth cross-border movement of goods while maintaining the integrity of customs documentation and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage customs records and maintain accurate documentation for audit readiness.
* Ensure customs duty management systems meet HMRC standards and reporting requirements.
* Oversee broker and freight forwarder activities to ensure ongoing compliance and service performance.
* Coordinate logistics between internal teams, freight providers, and end customers.
* Validate freight invoices and ensure timely processing of payments.
* Monitor and support shipping capacity aligned to demand, working closely with operations and planning teams.
* Drive continuous improvement in shipping velocity and process quality.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in customs and international trade compliance, particularly in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
* Strong working knowledge of UK import/export regulations and customs documentation.
* Ability to manage third-party logistics providers and maintain performance standards.
* Proficiency in freight invoicing, customs duty calculations, and compliance reporting.
