Opportunity – the ‘what’
As a Language Information Specialist, you will:
* Configure editorial systems and tools based on defined specifications.
* Maintain documentation and support internal users by resolving basic data-related issues.
* Follow procedures for data transformation, export, and quality control.
* Participate in testing and rollout activities to ensure system reliability.
* Collaborate in team meetings, planning sessions, and retrospectives.
* Contribute to prototyping, experimentation, and product innovation.
* Continuously learn and apply knowledge of tools, standards, and structured data workflows.
Your work will directly impact the integrity and usability of language data across platforms, supporting a portfolio valued at £30 million.
About You
* Ability to follow structured procedures and workflows.
* Experience configuring editorial systems and tools.
* Familiarity with QA tools and basic testing methodologies.
* Working knowledge of XML.
* Understanding of lexicography or linguistic data.
* Exposure to XPath, XSLT, or other data transformation tools.
* Experience using issue tracking or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira).
* Familiarity with Python.
* Exposure to APIs and API management tools.
