Estimator
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Depending on experience)
Location: Office-based - Liphook, HampshireHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
We are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning, ISO accredited commercial landscaping company, delivering major infrastructure and public realm projects across the South of England. The projects range from drainage and earthworks to hard and soft landscaping, fencing to create public open spaces.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled Estimator to join their experienced team.
Duties of the Estimator
* Supporting the estimating team by keeping core systems such as job trackers up to date
* Accurately measuring and pricing new-build housing and large commercial projects
* Ordering materials for live sites through our network of trusted suppliers
* Liaising with suppliers to negotiate prices and confirm lead times
* Raising purchase orders and assisting with office-based admin tasks
* Attending site meetings with clients, both independently and as part of a team
* Assisting on site and in the yard when required
Person Specification
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an estimating role (construction or landscaping)
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Proficiency in AutoDesk Design Review or Bluebeam is essential
* Familiar with Google Docs/Sheets
* Good understanding of soft landscaping and installation of hard landscaping elements
* Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
* Comfortable negotiating with suppliers and managing material procurement
* A proactive and driven individual, willing to be hands-on when needed
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
* Relevant qualification or degree in a related field
