An exciting opportunity has arisen at SThree for a talented Risk Manager to join our Legal team. Reporting to the Director of Risk, Insurance and Health/Safety, the role is based in our London office at 8 Bishopsgate, on a full time hybrid working basis .
Reporting to the Director of Risk, this role plays a pivotal part in advancing a robust and scalable enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework and Compliance Framework. The successful candidate will contribute to cultivating a risk-aware culture across the organisation, supporting key elements such as governance, risk appetite, policies and procedures, and capability development within Group Functions and regional teams.

What are the key expectations of this role?
1. Framework Stewardship
Maintain and enhance documentation associated with the Group Risk Management Framework, ensuring alignment with best practices and quality standards. Support risk appetite function across all regions.
2. Risk Register Management
Assist Risk Owners in maintaining functional risk registers to a consistently high standard, in accordance with framework requirements. Ensure the online risk register system remains accurate and up to date.
3. Stakeholder Support & Training
Deliver training, guidance, and education to employees at all levels to foster a culture of accountability and transparency and embedding risk thinking into everyday decision-making.
4. Risk Reporting & Analysis
Prepare timely and insightful reporting for the Group Risk Committee, including key risk indicators (KRIs), trend analysis, and emerging risk commentary to inform strategic decision-making.
5. Audit Liaison
Collaborate with Internal Audit to agree audits for key controls and processes, ensuring alignment between risk management and assurance activities.
6. Compliance Activities Support
Support other colleagues within the team with compliance related activities as and when required such as:
7. Sanction screening,
8. Enhanced Due Diligence on International placements
9. Gifts and Hospitality assurance checks
10. Speak up case management
11. Assistance with producing training materials on compliance topics
12. Yearly review of compliance policies and procedures including Code of Conduct and Modern Slavery statement
13. Insurance
14. Work alongside Director of Risk, Insurance and Health and Safety to assist with Group insurance renewals and ensure coverage is appropriate and at the right levels.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience …
15. Self-starter, pro-active and hardworking individual with a keen eye for detail who can negotiate with and engage business management to embrace a risk-based approach to business decisions and initiative
16. Experience within a similar role highly desirable
17. Knowledge of Risk Management and Internal Control Frameworks
18. Knowledge of Compliance regulations for Sanctions, Anti bribery and Corruption, Modern Slavery and Fraud and associated policies including Code of Conduct.
19. Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable in dealing with stakeholders from all levels of an organisation.
