We are looking for a Clinical Leader for our hospital to help us build a healthier nation. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and post registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. With strong clinical leadership, you will guide your team with a shared vision promoting innovation and sustainability. As a clinical leader, you will have good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, and knowledge and understanding of running a smooth & effective department equipment is also essential.
Responsibilities
* Conduct and organise the Clinical / Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, ensuring the smooth running of theatre lists and organising booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres.
* Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, which include Endoscopy, General, Orthopaedics, Gynae.
* Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and ensuring policies and procedures to enhance patient care and service delivery.
* Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.
* Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training.

Nuffield Health Newcastle Hospital, Jesmond; one of the north east’s leading private hospitals, with a Good CQC rating. The site includes 27 en‑suite private bedrooms, 3 state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres, a dedicated breast care unit, on‑site pathology services and diagnostic imaging including CT and MRI, and on‑site physiotherapy specialists. The hospital has a special focus on orthopaedics, spinal surgery, ophthalmology, weight‑loss surgery and cosmetic treatment.
