Crime Auditor (Police Staff) Location: Arnold, Nottinghamshire Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £26,937 per annum Start Date: January 2026 About the Role Our client is seeking Crime Auditors to join their Crime Audit Team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate crime recording and maintaining the integrity of police data, ultimately supporting victims of crime and strengthening community trust. The successful candidate will review incidents and crime records in line with the National Crime Recording Standard (NCRS), Home Office Counting Rules, and relevant legislation. Your decisions will directly impact the service provided to victims, crime prevention efforts, and offender management. Key Responsibilities Review calls for service and recorded crimes in the force command and control system. Apply NCRS, Home Office Counting Rules, and legislation to ensure accurate classifications. Record new crimes, amend classifications, or escalate cases to address risk as required. Contribute to ensuring victims receive the service they deserve and the organisation maintains reliable crime data. Skills & Experience Required Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking. Ability to interpret and apply policies, rules, and legislation objectively. Confidence in making independent, evidence-based decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
