We have an exciting vacancy to join our Liverpool Plant.

Key accountabilities, deliverables & KPIs, impact on business results

Within the Facilities Dept, we have created a day-based Facilities Maintenance Engineer role. The role is intended to primarily focus on maintenance, improvements and projects raising site performance and sustainability linked to facilities. This will be achieved by analysing loss data in key areas and supporting plans to improve Maintenance, inviting cross functional support and liaising with external contractors, to deliver these performance Maintenance improvements and projects. The role will support the facilities Department, this includes supporting and liaising with our outsourced hard and soft FM site service teams including reactive and planned maintenance if required.

The Facilities Maintenance Engineer is part of a team that is responsible for Maintenance and improvements of facilities engineering services across the site, plays a key part in driving maintenance, utilities management and local projects both revenue & Capex related and is key to compliance in areas such as HV, PSSR, Electrical, LOLER, LEGIONELLA, etc.

This role is key to the future success of the site as Nutricia Liverpool continues to grow within the Specialised Nutrition division of Danone.

Key accountabilities, deliverables & KPIs, impact on business results

* Analyse and translate Safety and Quality risks to contribute and input on action plan(s). Co-ordinate the specific improvement projects/programmes
* Deliver results per improvement/Maintenance, in line with facilities performance losses
* Support Maintenance, documentation and drive through process on site to deliver.
* Motivate and engage with cross functional operation teams
* Ensure support, commitment within the facilities department
* Support breakdowns and maintenance
* Key knowledge holder for facilities’ assets
* Compliance with RCA process on site for correct data capture
* Objective based targets for improvement project plans
* Danone rules and standards
* Product conformity
* Compliance with Budget/CAPEX and timing and quality
* Compliance with security and safety
* Sherpa methodology application
* Safety and quality risk score
* Involvement in 9001, 14001, 22001 and FDA audits
* Support service provider
* Completing any reasonable request made by the company to achieve the aims and objectives of the department and the business
* Working closely with all functions to plan in ‘out of hour’ necessary maintenance work on plant equipment
* Delivery of planned shutdown statuary work in conjunction with production requirements
* Support facilities sim structure and KPI delivery.


About You

Candidate profile (leadership & functional competencies)

* Preparation of improvement & Maintenance /programmes documentation
* Multi -discipline skills covering Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic
* Previous experience within Food/FMCG of high standards
* Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes)
* knowledge of main Facilities equipment and utilities, and their characteristics.
* Knowledge of SAP.
* Ownership and taking the lead of maintenance plans ensuring completion and sign off.

Critical experience required

* Ideally HNC qualified engineer with facilities experience
* Types of jobs: Engineering / maintenance engineering in FMCG, PHARMACEUTICAL, AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRIES, FOOD MANUFACTURE
* Level at last job: mechanical /electrical Engineer
* Time-served and qualified to a HNC level in either a mechanical, electrical, or dual discipline.
* Knowledge and experience of TPM as part of professional career is advantageous
* Clearly defines problem situations for analysis whilst following through to closure with a flexible and adaptable approach to working, specifically in problem-solving by using technical knowledge and ingenuity to interpret situations and offer solutions.
* Participates with Sourcing to develop strategic contractor partnerships
* Functional skills such as:
* Plumbing, Electrical skills, Joinery, building repairs, plastering. Training will be provided for certain functional competencies if required.
* Involvement in all elements of the WISE Safety program on site, engaging people towards the “Independent” stage
* Involvement in cross-functional teams and ensures CODE/Proximity management principles
* Knowledge of steam boilers, hot water boilers, HVAC equipment, Water treatment facility, DHW and LPHW systems
* Participates in large cross-functional projects and/or coordinates site projects portfolio
* Knows and applies the full Damaway scope (SMED, AM/PM, Focus Improvement, Lean Design…)
* Involvement in cross-functional teams at plant level
* Technical competencies in Electrical installation, Thermo-dynamics, Building maintenance
* Delivers and meets the Budget at Plant level, balancing cross functional contribution.
* Manages on a day-to-day basis the Facilities projects / improvement plans on internal & external benchmarks
* Compliance training completed
