Due to continued growth within the generator power industry, Wallace Power Services Ltd are looking to recruit a motivated Generator Service Engineer (with mechanical or electrical bias) to join our dedicated team based in Dumbarton, Scotland.

Role & Responsibilities:
The job will require you to carry out servicing and repair of diesel generators & associated power equipment from 20kVA - 2000kVA, at both our workshop, and customer sites throughout Scotland. Duties will include:
* Carry out planned servicing and inspection of all makes of generators & control panels.
* Identify faults on generator equipment and carry out repair works as required both on and off site
* Carry out diagnostic and repair works on various engines in a range of applications using engine specific software (training given)
* Assist with mechanical & electrical installation/ commissioning of new equipment
* Carry out load testing of equipment
* Be available to participate 1 in 4 standby rota with other engineers
* Identify parts for repair and maintain stock levels in service vehicle
* Ensure timeous completion and submission of service documentation
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and health & safety requirements when working alone or as part of a team.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Must have experience of mechanical/electrical engineering and diesel engines (Experience working specifically on generators would be advantageous).
* Practical knowledge of software-based control systems including DeepSea/Comap/Dief would be advantageous
* Must demonstrate strong problem solving ability.
* Must have good communication skills and a strong work ethic
* Own tools will be required
* Must have served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (C&G, SVQ, NVQ etc)
* Must be happy to undergo an Annual Basic Disclosure check in order to meet client security measures
