The role

reports to the Outsourcing and Accounts Partner and the Company Secretarial manager.

The responsibilities
1. Maintaining statutory books and records via company secretarial software
2. Preparation and submission of documents for filing at Companies House, including confirmation statements
3. Assisting with the incorporation of UK entities
4. Submitting dormant company accounts
5. Submitting voluntary striking off applications
6. Drafting responses to technical queries from clients and colleagues
7. Working with internal teams and colleagues across the firm
8. Maintaining and updating trackers, logs, and spreadsheets that are essential for managing deadlines, ensuring compliance, and keeping the company secretarial function running smoothly.
9. Assist with the review process and development of a national standardised set of procedures
10. Assist with the implementation of new company secretarial software and be responsible for keeping information within the software up to date.

The team

The Business Advisory Group advise businesses ranging from large multi-national corporations to small family-run companies. You will work across a huge variety of sectors including real estate, recruitment, retail and hospitality, financial services, not-for-profit and sports and entertainment.

Our clients range from entrepreneurial owner managed businesses to medium-large international groups.

You
11. This role would suit someone who has entry‑level experience in a legal or accounting environment, such as junior role in a law firm, accountancy practice, or corporate services provider
12. Have had some exposure to Companies House filings or basic legal entity administration.
13. Have familiarity with professional services workflows, client communication, or regulated environments.
14. Demonstrate a passion for delivering quality, ensuring that client needs are met.
15. Flexible, professional approach and have the confidence and ability to communicate effectively with managers, partners and clients.
16. Team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and excellent eye for detail.
17. Experience using company secretarial software desirable.

Reward and benefits
18. A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (our core hours are 10-4)
19. Excellent benefits including; contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, Life Assurance cover and great flexible benefits and family friendly policies,
20. Eligibility for the firm's Profit-Sharing Plan. Paid in December. The scheme enables staff to share in the profits of the firm.
21. Paid overtime or time off in lieu.
