We are recruiting for a Window Fabricator to join a growing manufacturing team. This is a hands on production role working across different stages of the window manufacturing process. It would suit someone with previous window fabrication experience, or someone from a similar background such as production operative, assembly operative, manufacturing operative, UPVC fabricator, glazing operative, workshop operative, warehouse operative, or mechanical assembly roles with transferable skills. This is a temp to perm opportunity with structured training across departments and long term progression. Location: Witham, b ased on site within a window manufacturing and production environment. Pay rate: £12.71 per hour Pay increases once permanently employed and with experience Benefits one permanent: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays Holiday increases by 1 day per year up to 25 days Employee Owned Trust after 1 year employment Birthday day off after 1 year employment Training across multiple departments Long term permanent opportunity Shift Patterns / Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am to 2.30pm with 45 minutes total breaks at 9am and 12pm Friday 6am to 2pm What You’ll Do • Fabricate windows following production specifications • Work along the hanging line and support assembly processes • Learn different furniture options and window ranges • Assist stores with customer packs and window packs • Carry out glass inspection and quality checks • Support different departments as training progresses • Help with general production and assembly duties • Undertake ad hoc tasks to support the wider team • Maintain a clean and safe working environment What We’re Looking For: Previous window fabrication experience preferred Experience in manufacturing, assembly, production or workshop environments considered Good attention to detail and quality standards Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Willingness to learn different departments Ability to work as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast paced production environment Nice to Have for This Role Experience with UPVC window fabrication Glazing or glass handling experience Mechanical assembly or joinery experience Stores or packing experience within manufacturing Use of hand tools in a production setting Who Might Suit This Role This role could suit a Window Fabricator, UPVC Fabricator, Production Operative, Assembly Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Workshop Assistant, Glazing Operative, Warehouse Operative with assembly experience, or someone from carpentry, joinery, aluminium fabrication, or general manufacturing looking to develop new skills.
