Job Description
The Home: This home is a small independent residential home, which has a great reputation and has undertaken a new extension and refurbishment.
The Successful Candidate
You will be an experienced Care Assistant with a background in elderly care who is looking to work in a smaller home and have a closer and more personable relationship with residents.
Shift Pattern
Nightshift: 08.00pm - 08.00am. This will be on a part time basis and be discussed at interview.
Essential
* Experience in working within a Residential Home and working with older adults in a similar setting
* Must be assertive and organised with good leadership skills
* Level 2/3 NVQ Health and Social Care is desired.
* Knowledge and awareness, among others, of the Fundamental Standards of Quality & Safety, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, other safeguarding issues, person-centred planning and relevant legislation
* Enthusiastic with great communication and interpersonal skills, both written & verbal English.
Desirable
* Level 3 NVQ Health and Social Care or equivalent
* Experience of working with Alzheimer's/Dementia
