HCB Widdows Mason is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Property team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are interested in property law and who wish to assist clients in navigating their property transactions. Your main responsibilities will include: Managing client inquiries and providing progress updates on property transactions. Assisting in the opening and closing of client files, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Conducting legal research related to property law and practice. Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports for both clients and solicitors. Supporting solicitors in preparing for negotiations, transactions, and property closings. Maintaining accurate records within the case management system and ensuring confidentiality. Performing general administrative tasks, such as filing, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence. Providing occasional reception cover as needed. Requirements Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all documentation. A keen interest in property law and the property transaction process. Previous experience in a legal or property environment is preferred but not essential.
