Hays Accountancy and Finance have been retained exclusively to recruit a dynamic and hands-on Management Accountant to join a leading, rapidly growing, and private group that support the healthcare sector. Working with an ambitious organisation, this permanent Management Accountant role will be based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire with remote/office hybrid working. Reporting into the UK Finance Manager, the position is varied, supporting various entities within the group in all aspects of management accounts, reporting packs, budgeting, business partnering, and financial analysis. Your new role
Your key duties will involve monthly preparation of management accounts, completion of various month-end reporting schedules, assisting in the production of accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance reports. You will prepare monthly submissions of results to the group, build/maintain relationships management with key stakeholders in the organisation, and lead on year-end financial audit with external auditors. You will provide ad-hoc analysis and financial reporting; full balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany processes and submit VAT returns. You will submit payroll changes to external payroll, maintain the fixed asset register, review aged debtors, manage supplier payments and insurance renewals. You will oversee and support the Accounts Assistant, actively seek to improve processes, and provide cost-reduction analysis for various profit and loss ledgers. You will support the development of financial awareness of non-financial colleagues and drive decision-making through robust financial analysis.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this hands-on and varied Management Accountant role, you will need experience in a similar position; CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with strong commercial awareness and highly skilled in MS Excel. You will be a team player who can demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, be comfortable with financial systems, and be a quick learner who can manage workloads to meet deadlines. You will have strong organisational and time management skills, excellent communication skills to build relationships at all levels, both with finance and non-financial management, with an adaptable approach to business needs. Experience with Business Central or SAP Business One would be advantageous but not essential.
