Communications & Marketing Officer - Banbury Summary Important notice In line with our redeployment policy, we’ll prioritise applications from employees who are under formal notice of redundancy. As a Communications and Marketing Officer for Upton House, you'll be responsible for letting people know about the place, and how they can visit. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. You'll work 780 hours per year. What it's like to work here Based at Upton House and Gardens, you'll support marketing and communications for the South Warwickshire and Northamptonshire portfolio, including, Upton House, Canons Ashby, Farnborough Hall and Lyveden New Bield. Due to Upton House being in a rural area, please think about how you'd be able to get here for work. What you'll be doing We have an annual plan covering communications and marketing, and your role from will be to achieve what’s on that plan. We have some ambitious targets that you’ll be aiming at, including reaching new and diverse audiences, so there’s room for creativity and fresh ideas. Your day-to-day work will cover things like creating new content on our web pages, and making sure that existing information remains relevant and accurate, running social media accounts, creating promotional materials and writing and distributing press releases. You'll be working closely with your colleagues on site and the Trusts regional advisers, known as consultants. You'll be part of a team making sure that we're sharing the best stories we can, with a focus on spreading the word about places to visit and letting people know about the Trust’s conservation work. Who we're looking for Applications from redeployees are assessed against the minimum criteria for the role. In your application, please provide details of how you meet the minimum criteria below: ability to create and manage engaging content across web, social media, and on-site materials ability to use audience insight to inform marketing strategies and support programming that deepens connections with visitors understanding of the National Trust’s brand guidelines and channel strategies to ensure consistent and effective communication happy to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders good at managing multiple priorities and marketing projects efficiently Criteria for all other applicants: familiar and confident with various marketing techniques, including digital and social media experienced in writing and speaking clearly skilled in working with IT (including Microsoft Office) The package The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart.
