Ecologist Construction & Infrastructure Projects
Permanent | Full-Time | 45 hours per week
We are recruiting an Ecologist to support a portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring ecological considerations are fully integrated into project planning and delivery.
This role plays a key part in helping delivery teams manage ecological risk proactively, maintain compliance with environmental legislation, and deliver projects in a sustainable and responsible way. You will work closely with internal construction teams and external specialists to promote best practice environmental management and protect biodiversity throughout the construction lifecycle.
The Role
As an Ecologist, you will provide practical, project-focused ecological support across multiple sites, helping to balance environmental protection with efficient project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesEcological Surveys & Assessments
* Undertake ecological surveys, habitat assessments and protected species monitoring
* Prepare and review Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), ecological reports and supporting documentation
* Identify ecological constraints and advise project teams on appropriate mitigation measures
