Contract: Full time

At Greenwoods, we're proud to be different. We combine approachability with commercial acumen, delivering exceptional service through sector expertise and a genuine commitment to our colleagues and clients.

Our IT team is at the forefront of a firmwide transformation, modernising and future‑proofing our technology landscape to support continued growth. We're moving towards a cloud-only, data-driven architecture that enables secure hybrid working, smarter workflows, and improved user experiences.

As part of this journey, we're reimagining our legal software suite, including case, practice, and document management systems to deliver deeper integration, greater efficiency, and meaningful innovation. Within our collaborative and forward-thinking environment, where curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued, you'll have the opportunity to shape how technology supports legal delivery in a growing, ambitious firm.

Role Purpose

The hands-on role of Legal Tech & Data Manager is central to the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of our legal tech ecosystem. You'll drive the implementation of Peppermint CX365, using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to create scalable, user-friendly solutions for our legal teams.

You'll work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into practical applications, manage and develop internal technical talent, and support succession planning. Beyond Peppermint, you'll enhance our broader tech stack, integrating emerging tools like AI and delivering features that support both legal and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Transformation

* Shape and maintain the strategic roadmap for Legal Tech Solutions, aligning technology with business objectives.
* Champion innovation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
* Support the integration as part of our growth agenda, ensuring alignment of systems, processes, and data with core platform architecture.

Solution Design & Delivery

* Design, build, and implement scalable, user-focused solutions using Peppermint CX365 and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
* Translate business requirements into practical applications.
* Deliver new features and enhancements that meet evolving business needs.
* Lead the design, development, customisation, and rollout of solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics.
* Drive enhancements to existing legal technology solutions, ensuring they remain fit for purpose as new features and integrations become available.
* Spot and pursue opportunities for new tools and system development.

Team Management & Development

* Manage, mentor, and upskill junior members of the team.
* Provide hands-on leadership while fostering technical growth and capability.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and deliver effective solutions.
* Work closely with the IT team, Head of Knowledge Management, Transformation Director, and AI Taskforce to embed emerging technologies.
* Evaluate new software and technologies, and assess opportunities to optimise the existing tech stack.
* Manage and maintain supplier relationships with chosen legal technology providers.

Technology Ecosystem & Innovation

* Play a key role in enhancing and evolving the wider legal technology ecosystem beyond Peppermint.
* Support the transition to Peppermint CX365, ensuring delivery to scope, timeline, and budget.
* Assess, implement, and integrate new legal technologies, including AI tools, with core systems.
* Manage integrations between core systems (CMS, PMS, DMS).

Data Management & Analytics

* Develop and oversee the firm's approach to data within legal technology solutions, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and strategic use.
* Define and embed data standards, taxonomies, and governance models for efficient information use.
* Identify opportunities to use analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) to measure performance, client value, and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

Technical Expertise

* Proven expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Dynamics 365.
* Skilled in designing, building, and delivering end-to-end business applications that solve real-world challenges.
* Hands-on experience configuring and optimising Peppermint CX365 to streamline workflows and enhance operations.
* Strong understanding of how legal technology drives efficiency, profitability, and client value.
* Adept at managing data integrations, governance, and reporting frameworks to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Project Leadership & Delivery

* Demonstrated success leading technology projects from inception to implementation, including stakeholder engagement, planning, and testing.
* Comfortable owning delivery and translating business needs into technical solutions.
* Experienced in platform configuration and workflow automation.
* Comfortable working in a hands-on management capacity.

Collaboration & Communication

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence.
* Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and recommend effective solutions aligned with business needs.
* Works well across teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Mentoring & Team Development

* Experienced in mentoring and upskilling technical teams.
* Confident balancing a management role with direct contribution to delivery.
* Enjoys helping colleagues grow their skills and achieve their potential.

* Experienced in professional services or legal environments.
* Understands the need to balance innovation with reliability and compliance.
* Motivated to modernise systems and deliver tools that make a meaningful impact.
